With the football season now at the end, with the transfer window due to open in July, many football punters have been migrating to alternative markets to produce a profit on, like this list of online betting sites here. During the summer this year, the Euros is taking place, starting this weekend and many are using these non-gamstop market to bet on it.
Falcao started to rise to stardom during his time at Porto from 2009 to 2011 where he scored an impressive 41 goals in 51 games, his best game per goal ratio. He ended up being second top scorer in the league that season with 25 goals in Primeira Liga where they won the league and the Europa League during his time there. Due to his impressive performance there, he was granted a move to European super team Atletico Madrid.
The fee in which Atletico Madrid paid for the Porto strikers was €40 million which would rise to €50 million if he reached records across the season. At the time, this made him the most expensive player in Atletico’s history. Atletico were going through a very fruitful period during Falcao’s time there, where they reached a Champions League Final only to lose to arch-rivals Real Madrid. Falcao was rather impressive during his period here where he scored 52 goals in 68 games.
However, the main club in which he spent most of his career at was Monaco, where he played for 6 years in France. Again, Falcao went for a very big fee, reported to be €60 million euros this year, and he would earn nearly €20 million per year in salary. Monaco again built a very good team this season including Kylian Mbappe, Bernado Silva and Benjamin Mendy and went on to go on an impressive run with Falcao and co. During his period at Monaco, he spent two years on loan in the Premier League to Chelsea and Manchester United but his time in England wasn’t as successful as he’d have hoped, and he found it different to adjust to the league.
